Description

Hampton House is an 18th-century house with alterations dating to approximately 1860. The house’s core is significantly older, incorporating a 16th-century timber-framed section with an exposed timber frame and ceiling beams visible internally, and a portion of a 15th-century rubble building in the rear. The front façade is faced with stone. The house is three storeys high with six sash windows, a simple pilaster doorcase, and a parapet featuring ball finials. Inside, alongside earlier features, it contains a good 18th-century staircase and pine panelling throughout the ground storey.
