Description

Fern Cottage is a 16th to 17th century building that was formerly a farmhouse. It features an exposed timber frame with closely set studding and has an L-shaped plan. The cottage has rubble chimneys with a brick stack and a tiled roof, with double gable ends on the north side. It also includes old oak doors, contributing to its picturesque appearance.
