The Homestead and The Lidhole are 17th-century buildings located in Lower Moor. They feature a timber frame with whitened brick nogging and consist of a long range with a gabled bay on the left. The roof is a combination of thatch and tiles. The windows include modern casements and horizontal sliding sashes. The Homestead and The Lidhole, along with The Old Chestnut Tree, Post Office and Stores, and Staddlestone Cottage, form a notable group of buildings.
