Description

This is a cast iron fountain dating from around 1875, located about 30 metres southwest of the Château Impney Hotel. The fountain features an octagonal basin, with four putti riding dolphins that blow horns from which water flows. These putti support an octagonal plinth adorned with lion masks on four sides. Above this plinth, the main bowl is supported by acanthus leaves, and three dolphins, using their tails, support the upper bowl. The composition is completed by a half-draped female figure carrying a horn.
