Description

This is a house range dating back to the 17th and 19th centuries with more recent additions. It’s constructed primarily of blue lias stone, with some early 19th-century red brick detailing, and has plain tile roofs. Originally a single-storey building with an attic, the North end was raised in red brick. A central chimney stack is located in the North section, and two modern ridge stacks are present in the South section. The ground floor is consistently blue lias stone, featuring four small buttresses and three original stone mullioned windows with hoodmoulds – one of these is a modern replica. Casement windows are on the right-hand side, comprising three modern windows and one small iron casement. The South end is a modern addition. The first floor, on the North end, is brick with four small paired casements. The South end exhibits two dormer gables, one of which is a half dormer. The rear of the building has been significantly altered. Inside, there are heavy internal timbers, displaying chamfers and carved stops.
