Description

Church Cottage is an early 17th-century building with a timber frame, plaster, and whitened brick. It has an L-shaped plan and is a single-storey structure with attics. The right-hand side features a projecting gabled wing, and there is a modern doorcase at the angle of the building. The main block includes a large gabled dormer that contains an original wood mullioned four-light window, while modern casements are present elsewhere. Church Cottage is part of a group that includes the Parish Church, Wyre House, The Cottage, outbuildings adjoining The Cottage, and Avonbank Farmhouse.
