Description
This building is a row of four shops located at 3-7 and 7A Sansome Street in Worcester, dating from the late 19th century, with later additions and alterations, including shop fronts from the 1980s. The single-storey range is divided into four shop units and is constructed of gault brick and limestone ashlar, featuring a concealed roof. The plate-glass shop fronts are set above a two-row brick band, which consists of one stretcher and one header, and is topped with a parapet and a central pediment. The parapet includes outer pierced quatrefoils, while the pediment is adorned with a carved rustic scene in bas-relief depicting The Hop-Pickers by Forsyth. The design includes chamfered coping and an upper roll-moulding, featuring a large foliate finial in the center and acroteria at the ends. The interior has not been inspected.
