Description

UPTON-UPON-SEVERN HIGH STREET SO 8540 2/38 (east side) No 23 GV II Later C18 painted brick refacing of C17 building. Three-storey and parapet. Originally 3 window range, centre now blocked. Exposed box glazing bar sashes, guaged brick heads. C19 shopfront with console brackets. Plain tile roofs, brick stack on rear slope. Weatherboarded timber framing to rear. Date of 1640 said to be carved on ceiling beam at rear of shop, now covered over.
