Description
23 High Street is a building located in Upton-upon-Severn, originally constructed in the 17th century and later refaced in the 18th century with painted brick. It is three stories tall and features a parapet. The building originally had three windows, but the center window has been blocked. It has exposed box glazing bar sashes with gauged brick heads. The shopfront, which dates from the 19th century, includes console brackets. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a brick stack on the rear slope. At the back of the shop, there is weatherboarded timber framing. A date of 1640 is said to be carved on a ceiling beam at the rear, although it is currently covered over.
