Description

Lower Swell Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been extended. The original section is timber-framed with red brick panels and features a plain tile roof with a stack at the west end. It has a square frame consisting of 8 by 3 panels and is two stories tall, with two windows above and two windows along with a door below. At the east end, there is an attached painted brick range with a dark plain tile roof and a ridge stack, which has modern windows and a door. The east end wall displays exposed timber-framing. Additionally, there is a lower 19th-century section attached at the west end, made of red brick and rubble stone, which includes one first-floor window and various openings on the ground floor.
