Description
The Church of the Good Shepherd, built in 1870 by George Row Clarke, is located in Upton-upon-Severn on Hook Common Road. It features walls made of Charlbury rubble stone with Bath stone dressings and has a plain tile roof. The church is designed in a decorated Gothic style and consists of a nave and chancel, with a stone bellcote situated between them. A south porch displays a carving of the Good Shepherd in its gable. The nave has two light windows with trefoil heads, while the chancel has single light windows. There are three light windows on the east and west sides, each with a small trefoil opening above in the gable. The church has no aisles and features a scissor braced roof and a chancel arch. The east window was added in 1890, a south window around 1897, and a fine west window was created around 1910 in the style of C. Whall.
