Description
The Old Rectory and adjoining garage is a house and barn, now functioning as two houses but still considered one property. It dates back to the early 17th century. The structure features a timber frame set on a brick and rubble plinth, with painted brick and wattle-and-daub panels. The roof is made of fibreglass over cork tiles and has an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is a single storey with attics and consists of three framed bays, showcasing a mix of 19th and 20th century casement windows and an off-centre door located on the right side. Attached to the rear of the main house by a 20th century conservatory is the former barn, which has been converted into a two-storey cottage and garage. This part of the property is also 17th century and features a timber frame on a rubble plinth, with some weatherboarding, interwoven lath panels, and painted brick and daub infill. It includes two single casement windows, a central plank door, and an additional plank door leading to the garage area.
