Description
Court House is a large farmhouse, possibly a court or manor house, likely built in the late 16th century and altered in the 17th century and early to mid-18th century. The rear part is timber-framed with brick and rendered infill, while the front is made of painted brick, topped with a hipped plain tiled roof and brick end stacks. It features a brick modillion cornice and has two storeys.
The entrance front has six glazing bar sash windows with segmental heads, four of which are on the ground floor. These are flanked by two smaller windows beside a central six-panel door, which is topped with an overlight and a pediment supported by carved consoles. The irregular rear elevation consists of three bays, with the center bay gabled and featuring a 19th-century bay and oriel window, along with curved braces on the upper floor. The left bay has some close-studding but is mostly painted brick, and includes a bay window. There is a two-storey gabled porch on the right.
Inside, the building retains some 17th-century panelling and a staircase with turned balusters.
