Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century, originally timber-framed with herringbone red brick infill, and covered by a plain tile roof. A substantial brick ridge stack features four 19th-century diagonal shafts on the rear wing. The house is two storeys and arranged in a “T” shape. The front range exhibits close studding. The windows are casements; three-light windows are found on the first floor and the ground floor, with a door set within a 19th-century tiled hipped porch. The lower rear wing has a slate roof and a dormer window on the west side. The north gable end reveals a full cruck truss. A modern addition is visible in the northeast corner.
