Description

Buryfield is a brick house dating from around 1800. It was rendered and extended in the 19th century. The house is three storeys high with a slate eaves roof. It has a three-window front, featuring two two-storey, three-sided canted bays with flat tops and glazing bar sashes. Above the canted bays are tripartite windows, and a single sash window is located centrally on the first floor. The central first-floor window has stucco voussoirs. Glazing bars are present throughout. A stone and rendered brick front porch, with a gabled roof and a moulded round arch, was added in the 19th century, sheltering a panelled front door with a fanlight. A later two-storey addition is located to the south, accompanied by a lean-to greenhouse and a further rear range.
