Description
Monsieurs Hall is a 17th-century farmhouse, with alterations from the 18th century. The house is primarily constructed of large sandstone blocks. The right-hand gabled wing features a weathered plinth and a setback at the first floor. It has an early brick chimney shaft with a band of small arches below the cap. To the left is a smaller, two-story gabled wing with a brick chimney stack featuring two diagonal shafts. 18th-century alterations are visible in the red brickwork. A simple six-panel door is present, along with a hood over it. The gable heads of the front (west) elevation have been rendered in cement, while those to the rear display exposed timber framing. Two three-light mullioned windows, with a splayed doorway, are located on the south side. The remaining windows are simple casements, and the roof frames are later insertions. Stone gate piers feature a moulded cornice and ball finials. Monsieurs Hall, together with the barn and outbuilding, forms a group.
