Description
Burcot Farmhouse is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys high and features three windows. It is constructed of red brick with sandstone dressings and may be part of a larger house. The fenestration has been significantly altered; the original openings had segmental brick arches and plain stone keyblocks, but the current casements and door are later additions. There are stone quoins on the left side of the door, along with a stone plinth and a moulded string course at the first-floor level. A central chimney is located at the back, featuring diagonal brick shafts that likely date from the 18th century. The rear elevation includes square timber framing on the right side, and the roof is hipped, covered with old tiles, indicating an incomplete design.
