Description

The Birmingham Canal Fox's Lane Bridge and No 10 Lock, built around 1770, is a canal lock and bridge designed by engineers Brindley, Whitworth, and Simcock. It is constructed of brick with some stone coping. The structure features double lower gates and a single upper gate. The bridge has an elliptical brick arch with a stone key and stone-coped brick parapets. This lock is part of a flight of 21 locks on the Birmingham Canal at the Wolverhampton level.
