Description
The Southern Lock on the Walsall Junction Canal was built in 1841 to connect the Walsall Canal with the Birchills Branch of the Wyreley Canal. It is constructed of brick and features some sandstone kerbstones in the lock chamber. The lock has single gates and cast iron sluice gear. This lock is part of a flight of eight locks.
