Description

The second lock from the south on the Walsall Junction Canal was built in 1841 to connect the Walsall Canal to the Birchills Branch of the Wyreley Canal. It is constructed of brick with some sandstone kerbstones in the lock chamber. The lock features single gates and cast iron sluice gear. This lock is part of a flight of eight locks.
