Description
The former brewhouse, now used for storage, is located to the east of the Royal Exchange Public House. It was built in the mid- to late 19th century and is constructed of brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The ground floor windows feature segmental heads, and while some windows are partly boarded, the exposed upper parts are glazed and the lower parts are louvred. The left-hand bay has a doorway that is covered by a later porch, while the right-hand bay has a doorway with a segmental head. A timber louvre is situated at the center of the ridge, and there is a chimney on the right side of the rear wall. This structure is included as a surviving example of a small public-house brewery.
