Description
The Church of Saint John the Baptist, Saint Lawrence, and Saint Anne is a fine 15th-century stone church located on the north side of Kenilworth Road in Knowle, Solihull. It features a nave with a clerestory, a chancel, aisles, a west tower, and a north transept. There are modern vestries built to the north of the chancel in 1900, which include an organ chamber. This collegiate church is historically connected with the Guild or College of Saint Anne, which existed from 1416 to 1547. Inside, there is a 15th-century octagonal font, choir stalls with misericords, a restored chancel screen, and reset piscinae and sedilia. Additionally, there are wall tablets from the 18th and 19th centuries.
