Description
The Walsall Road Aqueduct, built between 1841 and 1844, carries the Tame Valley Canal over a road. It features a prefabricated cast iron trough with bolted side panels supported by iron girders. On both sides, there are flying towpaths with solid iron panel parapets also mounted on iron girders. The structure is anchored by brick abutments that have stone bed mouldings and copings, along with brick wing walls topped with half-round brick coping.
