Description
The Vicarage to the Church of St James, built around 1860 by G. Bidlake, is located on the north side of Bridgnorth Road in Wollaston. The building is constructed of black brick, featuring a yellow brick cornice and stone dressings, with quoins and gable parapets. The roof is plain and fishscale tiled, arranged in decorative bands, and includes a ridge stack at the left end and another stack behind the gable on the right. The vicarage is two storeys high, with a garret only in the cross wing gable to the right.
The front has three windows: a two-light window under the eaves gable to the left, a single window in the centre, and another single window to the right, with a single window in the gable above. There is a wide ground-floor window to the left and a canted bay window to the right. The central doorway features a pointed arched bead.
