Description

No. 8, The Village, is a large, three-storey red brick house, dated to the late 18th century. The front of the house is stuccoed. It features three round-headed windows, the central one blocked. A round-headed doorway is set within a plain architrave, with a moulded wooden doorcase and a semi-circular fanlight containing "Y" glazing bars. The house has a six-panelled door and moulded stone eaves. The ends are stone-coped and gabled with kneelers, and the roof is tiled. The south side of the house is also gabled. It was formerly the Vicarage. The house is part of a group with the Church of St Mary, the Churchyard Cross, and numbers 8 to 11.
