Description

The Talbot Hotel is a building dating from the early 17th century, which was refronted in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall with five windows featuring keyblocks and channelled lintels. The second storey has a late 18th century moulded wood three-light bay window in the centre and on either side. Below this, there are three Tuscan pilastered three-light windows. The entrance is marked by a simple moulded wood doorcase with a lintel, and the building has quoins and a rusticated arch leading to the courtyard. The coping is also notable. Inside, there is a good early 18th century staircase.
