Description

Cromwell Cottage is a house dating from 1653, though it may be older. Local tradition suggests the cottage is named after a visit by Oliver Cromwell. The house is constructed of timber frame with brick and stone, with a gabled wing on the right. It has two storeys and an attic. The front features two 19th-century triple-light casement windows. The roof is tiled, with diagonally set shafts rising to 17th-century brick chimney stacks. A porch is dated 1653.
