Description
Hollyfast Farmhouse is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of sandstone and brick, topped with a tile roof, and has two storeys. The left side of the facade features stone on the ground floor and brick above, while the rest of the building is entirely made of stone. There are three windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, which are irregularly spaced and have casements with glazing bars. The two right-hand windows on the ground floor have segmental heads. A door is located to the right of the second ground floor window. The house has a chimney on the left gable and another to the left of the door. To the right, there is a one-bay brick addition that includes casement windows with glazing bars, a door to the left with a segmental head, and a second door to the right leading into a lean-to. This addition also has a chimney on the right gable. Inside, the farmhouse is said to feature chamfered axial beams and an inglenook in the room to the left of the door.
