Description
Maycroft and Woodlands are a semi-detached pair of houses built in 1893 or 1895 by C E Bateman. They are constructed from red brick with stone dressings and feature a tiled roof. The houses are two storeys tall and consist of four bays, with the central two bays advanced and gabled.
On the ground floor, there is one four-light window, a door set within a slated lean-to porch, and two canted bay windows that create a symmetrical appearance. The first floor includes one two-light window and one three-light window, both positioned under the eaves, along with two four-light windows that maintain the symmetry of the design. All windows are fitted with leaded lights. The houses were illustrated in 'The Builder' magazine in March 1900.
