Description
No. 345 Church Road is part of the Carmelite Monastery, likely originating in the 17th century but now mainly reflecting 19th-century features. The building is roughcast with tiled roofs and consists of two storeys. It has an asymmetrical layout and is set back from the road behind a wall approximately 7 feet high. The structure features numerous gables at varying angles and heights. The older section is timber-framed, while the newer part includes casement windows within altered stone surrounds. At the core of the building is a hall that rises through two storeys, supported by a timber roof on elaborately curved corbels.
