Description

Trust School is a late 15th-century building that was closed as a school in 1908. It features a timber-framed structure with close vertical studding and some 19th-century brick facing at the rear, topped with a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high, with the upper floor jettied on brackets and consisting of four bays. The ground floor includes a modern door, a tripartite casement window, and three 4-light windows with leaded lights. The first floor has mostly leaded light casements, although many windows have been modernized. The right-hand return is gabled and has both the first floor and gable jettied.

The entrance to No 422 is located in the last bay on the left of the school, which has timber-framing supporting its upper floor. The ground floor of No 422 is made of painted brick and features a modern door with a casement window alongside on the right. Adjacent to this is the remainder of the house, built in the 19th century, which is also of painted brick with a tiled roof. This section is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with the ground floor featuring two segment-headed and one flat-headed casement windows. There is a bend of diagonally laid bricks at the first floor level, which has two segment-headed casement windows above those on the ground floor, along with a brick dentilled eaves cornice.

No 424 is physically attached to the left of No 422 and is also from the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a tiled roof and is two storeys high, featuring two bays. The ground floor includes a panelled door in a simple frame with a hood on brackets and a single segment-headed sash window. The first floor has a single segment-headed sash window above the ground floor window, along with a dentilled eaves cornice.
