Description

The Church of St Saviour, built between 1849 and 1850 by R C Hussey, is designed in the Perpendicular style. It is constructed from red sandstone with yellow sandstone dressings. The church features an aisled and clerestoreyed nave with four bays, a chancel, and transepts that include five-light windows. The west window consists of six lights. There is a north porch and a south tower that has a prominent stair turret. The arcade is supported by octagonal shafts, and the east end is adorned with a five-light window flanked by two blind windows.
