Description
Nos 146, 147, and 148 on Nechells Park Road are a pair of stucco-faced houses built around 1830-1840. They feature gable end slate roofs with moulded eaves. The red brick chimney stacks are topped with terracotta pots. Nos 146 and 147 have symmetrical fronts with three windows, revealed glazing bar sashes, and thin block sills. Each has a central doorway with slender pilasters, three-pane rectangular fanlights, and deep friezes with projecting cornices. The entrance to No 148 is located in a recessed stuccoed lean-to extension, which includes a Tuscan pierced porch set at an angle with a deep entablature. There is a narrow window to the left of the porch, featuring small panes and a Gothic cusped glazing pattern at the top.
