Description
Canterbury Cross Junior and Infants' School, dated 1906, is a single-storey building constructed of purple brick with terracotta dressings and a tiled roof. The structure features two gabled bays, a link bay, four gabled bays, and a smaller fifth gabled bay. The gabled bays are arranged transversely to a taller central spine that has cupolas on its roof line. Each gabled bay includes coupled arched windows, with each pair topped by a central oculus. The principal entrance is located in the link bay, characterized by broad segment-headed arches and a parapet adorned with art nouveau lettering, topped with a pyramidal roof and finial.
