Description

The Homestead is a building from the late 19th century or early 20th century, designed by C E Bateman in a modified Tudor style. It features a red brick and ashlar ground floor, with a plaster first floor that includes half-timbering. The roof is tiled and has projecting gables at both ends of the front. The building is two storeys high with attics, and the centre of the first floor is recessed behind a pentice roofed ground floor. The windows are mostly casement style with glazing bars, and some have lattice. There is a studded door set in a four-centred arch.
