Description

Warren House Farmhouse, including a granary, dates to the early 16th century and was one of the houses constructed by Bishop Vesey. It is built of red sandstone rubble, largely roughcast, with a tiled roof. A 17th-century stack with buttresses is also present. The farmhouse is two storeys high and features modern casement windows. A modern door is situated within the original four-centred arched doorway. A projecting front wing, dated 1671, is visible on the gable. A granary extension is attached to the north side. Further information and images can be found in Chatwin and Harcourt's "The Bishop Vesey Houses" (pages 11-12) and the Victoria County History, Volume IV, page 231.
