Description

The Grove is a building with medieval origins that has been significantly rebuilt in the 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof with four gables. The building has one storey and attics, with floor bands and casement windows that include glazing bars. The ground floor has stucco drip moulds. There is a modern half-timber closed porch at the entrance. Inside, the building retains a medieval four-bay hall with cruck roof trusses. For further details, refer to Chatwin and Harcourt's work, The Bishop Vesey Houses, pages 4-5.
