Description
Grounds Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with brick ridge stacks on the rear wings. The building is designed in a Gothic style and has a main range that is aligned east-west and faces south, with three parallel ranges at the rear. The main house is three stories tall and has a central gable, flanked by two-story annexes that have dentilled eaves bands.
The facade consists of five bays, with the main house displaying 20th-century casements on the ground and first floors within 18th-century openings that have segmental heads. The second-floor windows are pointed and feature Gothic glazing bars and lead cames. The annexes contain lancet windows that also have casements with Gothic glazing bars. The central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door set within an 18th-century opening, topped by a pointed overlight and flanked by a pair of blind lancets. At the rear, there are three gabled bays with segmental-headed openings that contain 20th-century casements. Inside, there is a central through-passage.
