Description

This is an early 18th-century stone gatepier, forming the left-hand element of a pair. It has a plinth, panelled faces, and a corniced coping. The original mounts and ironwork for gates are still present on the inner face, beneath a console moulding. The gatepier forms a group with the adjacent right gatepier and Number 11, and it is believed to have originally belonged to Four Oaks Hall, an early 18th-century building that previously stood on the site.
