Description
The former chapel to St Edmunds Boys Home was built in 1913. It is a brick structure with tall walls, designed in a basilican-Lombardic style featuring notable Arts and Crafts brickwork. The main highlight is the campanile tower located at the north-west corner, which has triple arcaded openings on the upper levels, accented by moulded and cut brick cornices. The roof is pyramidal and covered with pantiles, matching the main building, which also has deeply moulded eaves cornices. The side elevation is illuminated by four round arched lancets.
