Description
Sherbourne Farmhouse is a large 18th century red brick house located on Vicarage Lane in Sherbourne. The building features a hipped plain tile roof and a moulded stone eaves cornice. It has rusticated quoins and a string course at both the first and second floor levels. The house is three storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows are sash types with glazing bars; the left and right windows on the ground floor are tripartite, while those on the second floor are semi-circular. The central entrance has a panelled door with a fanlight above it. There are two late 19th century bay windows on the ground floor, each with a pent roof over the doorway. The side elevation facing the road has four windows, some of which are blocked. Additionally, there are large late 19th century red brick chimney stacks with diagonal shafts.
