Description
No. 102 Coventry Road is a house that dates back to 1781, primarily built in the mid-19th century, with significant additions made in 1890 and 1910 by the architect C. F. A. Voysey for M. H. Lakin. The exterior features rough cast walls and a low pitched, hipped slate roof with lateral chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a garden front with a three-window range. A central two-storey rectangular bay window projection is present, with a curved left-hand corner. There is also a one-storey projection at the right-hand end, which includes a curved bay window. A moulded string course runs between the storeys and extends as a cornice across the right-hand projection. The windows are arranged in horizontal bands, featuring casement windows with glazing bars, divided by stone mullions, and topped with hood-bands.
