Description

Number 9 Church Street is a building from the early to mid 19th century. It features a red brick exterior with a low-pitched roof covered in Welsh slate and a stone cornice. The building stands three stories tall and has a plinth. There are four sash windows with glazing bars set in reveals, each topped with stucco rusticated heads and keyblocks. On the left side, there is a segmental-headed carriageway leading to a two-fold, twelve-panel flush door. The central entrance on the right has a four-fielded panel door with a traceried fanlight above. This doorway is flanked by Doric pilasters and features an incised ornament frieze with interlacing arched low relief ornament and a cornice. All the listed buildings on the west side of Church Street are part of a group.
