Description
This sundial, located approximately 10 meters west of Packwood House, dates back to 1667 and has undergone 20th-century restoration. It is made of stone and features a round stepped base, a round column (part of which is a 20th-century replacement), and a painted stone square top with a round ball finial. The sundial was erected by John Featherston, who is also believed to have planted the Yew Garden nearby, which is traditionally said to represent the "Sermon on the Mount."
