Description

The Pavilion at Hill Close Gardens in Warwick is a detached town garden pavilion built between 1846 and 1866. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped plain tile roof. At the time of inspection in 1994, the pavilion was entirely covered with ivy. The building has a small hexagonal plan, with a doorway on the west front and a window on either side of the doorway, which are fitted with leaded panes. Inside, the roof is ceiled. Hill Close Gardens were established around 1846 as pleasure garden allotments, and by 1877, there were 37 garden plots laid out as detached gardens for townhouses that did not have their own gardens.
