Description

29 and 31 Bilton Road are two early 19th-century buildings, dating from around 1840 to 1850. They are constructed of yellow brick and feature a Welsh slated roof with a cornice. The buildings stand three storeys high and each has four sash windows with glazing bars set beneath flat arches. There are recessed wings on either side, each with a four-storey tower located behind a one-storey porch. Each doorway includes a dummy fanlight, a keyblock, and an archivolt on impost mouldings. The towers are topped with low-pitched hipped roofs that have bracketed cornices, and the top floor features round-arched panels, three on each side. Nos 17 to 33 (odd) and No 37 are part of a group.
