Description
This chest tomb and its railings, located approximately 1.5 metres northwest of the northwest corner of the north aisle of the Church of St. Giles, date back to 1809. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a moulded plinth and top. The north and south sides have a central panel, while the east and west ends display a fielded panel. The inscription commemorates William Bentley. Surrounding the tomb are contemporary wrought iron railings, which include columns on pedestals at the corners and a central pier on the north and south sides, all topped with urn finials.
