Description
This is a barn located approximately 30 meters southwest of Exhall Hall, dating from the 16th or 17th century, with three bays on the right that were added or rebuilt in the 18th century. The barn is primarily timber framed, featuring square framing and some studding with brick infill, although it has mostly been rebuilt in brick. The 18th-century bays include a string course. It has an old plain-tile roof and consists of six bays in total. The fourth bay has plank doors, while the third and sixth bays feature doors with brick segmental arches. The central part of the barn has vents, and the left side and most of the rear are obscured by 19th and 20th-century additions. Inside, there are timber-framed subdivisions flanking the threshing floor, with floors inserted in parts. Three bays have a queen strut trenched purlin roof, while the three bays on the right have a queen strut through purlin roof.
