Description
Moorash Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features timber framing with large braces on the first floor, and some infill and underbuilding on the left return side made of colourwashed brick. The right return side has been rebuilt in 20th-century brick. It has a plain-tile roof and 19th-century blue brick stacks at the left end and ridge. The farmhouse has a three-unit plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range. The ground floor includes a 20th-century porch with a hipped roof located between the third and fourth bays, featuring a half-glazed door on the right return side and a 19th-century plank door inside. Throughout the building, there are 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. The interior showcases exposed sage framing, broad stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and some old joists.
