Description
Stone House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century and late 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure with red brick infill and red brick elements. The roof is plain-tiled and has a red brick ridge stack with two flues, as well as an east end stack. The building has a lobby-entry and a three-unit plan, with a service range added at the rear in the late 18th century.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three 20th-century eaves dormers that contain three-light wood casements. There are segmental arches above two wood casements and one four-light window on either side of the doorway leading to the lobby-entry. The entrance is adorned with a gabled canopy supported by scroll brackets and features a boarded door. The exposed framing is visible on the end facing the road and on the rear wall, with the wall height consisting of three panels with upward bracing. The roof is a through-purlin type. The rear range, added in the late 18th century, is constructed of red brick and has a plain-tiled roof, also standing two storeys tall.
