Description

Coventry Canal Bridge Number 66, also known as Askew Bridge, is a canal bridge built between 1785 and 1790, with mid-19th century coping. Designed by engineer Thomas Sheasby, the bridge is constructed of brick and features an elliptical skew arch. The parapets have stone-coped end piers and chamfered brick coping, with a numbered plate on each side. This bridge is part of a series of bridges along the Coventry Canal.
